Meet Carolyn Lorenzoni

The Lorenzoni Family

Greetings! My name is Carolyn Lorenzoni and joining the Beloved Community Co-op is the realization of a long-held educational and spiritual dream.  I am a 1995 honors graduate of Butler University with a double major. Following my undergraduate studies, I pursued specific training to work with the elderly in long-term care and hospice, enjoying roles in hands-on healthcare and social work. At the same time, I pursued my interests in music, accepting an opportunity to train as a music therapist.  I have been a student of the musical arts for over 40 years performing with voice and on piano, harpsichord, and organ throughout the Indianapolis community (Clowes Hall, Scottish Rite Cathedral, American Guild of Organists, Palladium and more) as well as organizing and conducting large choral festivals and productions in the city.

For over 30 years, I have been called to numerous church ministry positions starting at age 16.  Seven years ago, God changed my course and I founded the Indiana Fine Arts Academy and the Nora Community Children’s Choir, serving currently as Executive Director and faculty member.  Both groups are dedicated to providing financially accessible, high-quality arts experiences and instruction to the community.  I am currently the President of the Indianapolis Piano Teacher’s Association, Chairperson of the Indy North NFMC festival competition, a Cadette Girl Scout Leader, wife to Juan, homeschool mom to Carolanne and lover of those whom God has called to our family. In pursuit of the calls to action God has placed in my life, I am humbled by the receipt of earthly rewards including the key to the city of Indianapolis and the Sagamore of the Wabash (for which my mother still insists I mention as she is going strong at 76!).

I love spending my leisure time with friends and family, often cooking, entertaining, taking walks, canoeing, reading…always having an adventure in some way while being eternally grateful for the precious miracle of life and following, hopefully, in the footsteps of God. I treasure this upcoming season of walking together.
